Controversies in hand surgery

Already for the seventh time on April 21, 2012, hand surgeons and therapists met at the Annual Meeting of the Hand Surgery Section of the DGU. This year's theme: Controversies in hand surgery – fracture treatment. Professor Joachim Windolf and Professor Michael Schädel-Höpfner once again created a sophisticated conference programme – the high number of 363 participants speaks for itself!

According to the tradition, members of the Section Hand Surgery presented their own cases at the end of each session and fanned again lively and interesting discussions.

"A smile was on the congress" – Visitor record at the 38th Annual Meeting of the GNP

From April 19 to 22, 2012 the German Association of Neuropediatrics (GNP - Gesellschaft für Neuropädatrie) invited to the 38th Annual Meeting in connection with the two-day 9th Training Academy (Fortbildungsakademie) to the ‘most livable city’ Muenster, Germany. Under the scientific guidance of Professor Gerhard Kurlemann the main focus was on the topics ‘pseudotumor cerebri’, ‘polyneuropathy’ and ‘neuroprotection’. The topic From gut to brain and back’ built a successful connection to the gastroenterology.

Kassel marked by respiration – 20th Annual Meeting of the DIGAB e.V.

In fine spring weather and in the middle of Germany the 20th Annual Meeting of the DIGAB e.V. was held in Kassel from April 26 to 28, 2012. Under the scientific guidance of Dr. Thomas Barchfeld, Dr. Dominic Dellweg and Dr. Karsten Siemon this anniversary congress with the leading motive “bridging” was a complete success. 815 registered participants followed the invitation and experienced a diversified meeting.

Obviously, they are not the latest versions, but according to the head of the affiliated grammar school these devices are very useful for educational needs. Thus, the elderly devices in the middle school library and in the learning studio can be replaced.
